Street Photography Styles

I heard of a street photographer called Bruce Glidden who has a unique way of working.  He takes candid flash portraits of people on the street and he is based in New York I believe.  I only dabble in street photography to record certain aspects of life and tend to do formal environmental portraits as I prefer to meet and find out about the people I am taking a picture of.  Bruce is at the opposite end if the spectrum as his style invites confrontation. Having said that he is undoubtedly passionate about what he does and more importantly is tough as old boots to do it.  While I could not work in this way it is interesting to see how an established and respected photographer works.
